Draft — replace before launch

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2026

This is a plain-English draft. It describes what Hot Mess Manager does with your data today; have it reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

What we collect

  • Account details — name, email, a hashed password, and the timezone your device reports.
  • The stuff you put in — events, tasks, reminders, jobs and shifts, kid profiles, lists, and anything you send to Brain Dump (text, voice transcripts, photos).
  • Connected calendars — if you connect Google, Microsoft or an ICS feed we store the events we sync and the OAuth tokens needed to keep syncing. Tokens are encrypted at rest.
  • Device tokens for push notifications, if you turn them on.
  • Activity logs — sign-ins, failed sign-ins and significant actions (with IP address and browser) so we can keep your account secure.

How we use it

  • To run the app: building your combined calendar, briefings and reminders.
  • Brain Dump content is sent to an AI provider (Anthropic) to be turned into proposed items. Nothing is created until you confirm it. We don't use your content to train models.
  • To email you briefings, invites and billing notices (via SendGrid) and to send pushes (via Firebase).
  • Payments are handled by WizPay / Payroc. We never see or store your full card number.

Sharing inside a household

Lists and kid profiles are shared with everyone in your household. Your calendar, tasks and reminders are yours; a household member only sees a task if it was assigned to them or by them.

Your choices

  • Disconnect a calendar, turn off push or email, or change your nag tone at any time in Settings.
  • Cancelling a paid plan downgrades you to Free — it does not delete your data.
  • To delete your account and household entirely, email support@wizprosoftware.com.

Where data lives

Hosted on Vercel, with the database on Neon and file storage on DigitalOcean Spaces, in US regions.
